Operation Write Home
Let me tell you, speaking from experience... there is NOTHING better than to receive a letter or card from a deployed loved one!!! It makes your entire day, week... sometimes even month.
Operation Write Home is an organization that supports our nation's armed forces by sending blank homemade greeting cards to our heroes, for them to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.
If you are a cardmaker, scrapbooker, rubber stamper, or just plain crafty, join us in creating cards and donating to this great cause.
Any quantity of cards is greatly appreciated, and you are encouraged to take your time and do your best work... after all, America's finest deserve to receive the finest! Use your best cardstock and do your best stamping. One VERY IMPORTANT thing to remember is NO GLITTER! Also, be sure to not overdo the dimension... they say to think "shirt button" thickness instead of "vintage button" depth. Also, A2 size cards (4.25 x 5.5) are strongly preferred. Envelopes aren't absolutely required, BUT if you can provide envies and tuck the cards and sort them by categories as you pack your box, it helps their shippers a lot.
To get additional information, visit the Operation Write Home website.
Now get to making those amazing cards, and send them to be used by our amazing troops!
